How Timberdoodle Does Homeschooling
One of the questions we hear all the time is:
"What's your homeschool style?"
And the short answer is... we don't fit neatly in any one box.
We love what works.
We ditch what doesn't.
And we believe learning should be smart, hands-on, and every bit extraordinary.
Here's a Peek at What Shapes Us:
Charlotte Mason Vibes:
- Short lessons? Check.
- Living books? Check.
- No "twaddle" (fluff)? Check.
We love real, rich learning that sparks curiosity—and gets to the point.
Classical Roots:
You'll find great books, deep discussions, and lots of critical thinking woven into everything we do.
Montessori Moves:
Especially with little learners, we lean into real-life learning, movement, and tons of hands-on discovery.
Because sitting still is overrated when you're five.
What We're Less About:
Unit Studies:
We pull from so many sources and topics that we'd burst out of a unit study box.
School-at-Home:
While we adore structure, we're not about rigid 8-to-3 school days at the dining room table.
Unschooling:
We like a little more direction. But we're big fans of chasing interests when the spark hits!
So... What Are We?
Eclectic, hands-on, thinky, joyful, and wildly practical.
We craft Timberdoodle kits with a special love for engineering, STEM, creativity, and critical thinking—the kinds of skills that kids use forever.
Because at the end of the day, we believe that education shouldn't just be done.
It should be loved.
